Why should you visit us?
We look forward to welcoming you in Budapest six days a week, with opening hours from Monday to Saturday. A unique feature of our store is that you will find two separate shops directly next to each other at the same address: one offers a rich selection of Hungarian secondhand books, while the other specializes specifically in foreign language titles, primarily in English and German. If you love hunting for treasures among the shelves, come visit us and browse through our collection of tens of thousands of books at your leisure.
If you prefer a fast and efficient experience, place your order online. We pre-assemble all orders placed through our webshop, so you can simply pop into the store to collect them without the wait. To make your experience even faster, we recommend shopping with a registered account to access the Quick Purchase feature. This allows the system to remember your previous shipping and payment details, enabling you to complete your next order in just two clicks.
Our secondhand bookstore and antiquarian shop are located in the immediate vicinity of Corvin-negyed. Available in person in Budapest near Corvin-negyed or online across Europe.

In-person payment at the store: In our Budapest store near Corvin-negyed, you can pay by credit card or cash (HUF) in both our Hungarian and foreign language departments.
Security and convenience: For online card payments, your data security is guaranteed by a reliable provider. If you choose to shop with a registered account, the "Quick Purchase" feature allows you to complete your next order in just two clicks without re-entering your payment details.
Payment method modifications: If you would like to change the payment method of an order you have already placed, it is possible to do so. Please let us know via email, and we will assist you with the update.
Bank transfer and confirmation: When choosing bank transfer in advance, please wait for the confirmation email containing the exact total and your order number. We will prepare your package or hand it over to the courier service once the payment has been received.
Receipts and invoices: We issue an invoice or receipt for every purchase. If you require a corporate invoice, please provide the necessary details and your tax number during the checkout process.

Antiquarian or bookstore?
It is hard to categorize our international secondhand bookstore, as we combine a classic antiquarian atmosphere with a modern selection. We primarily offer used books in excellent condition, but you can also find older editions of new books, as well as a wide range of English and German titles. Who do we recommend it to? Everyone who loves to read. From budget-friendly treasures starting at a few hundred forints to rarer collector’s items, you can find it all here.
Our inventory is constantly expanding with comics, figurines, and original DVD movies. Although we are continuously uploading items to our online shop, tens of thousands of volumes await those looking to read and relax at our physical store.
Store address: 1094 Budapest, Ferenc krt. 43. (Right by the Corvin-negyed metro and tram station). You can also find us on Facebook under the name "Könyvek 300 forinttól."
If a product is currently out of stock, you can sign up for notifications to place a pre-order. It is important to note that in these cases, the "last known price" is displayed, which may change upon restock based on the book's condition and current market trends. Thank you for your understanding!
Book collection and purchasing:
You can bring your sorted, surplus, or for-sale used books – whether they are in Hungarian or foreign languages – to our store after a prior telephone consultation (+36 1 308 7806). Currently, we accept and purchase books in smaller quantities. We are committed to promoting reading, so we often provide free books or deliver donations to partner organizations.
